Anand is also the digital marketing whiz at Island Talk Asia, dealing and fine-tuning web development and social media strategies.

Event Planning Manager

Eugene is not to mess with when it comes to media buying.

He plans, plots and acquires the best spots in major media houses and publications for Island Talk Asia’s clients.

When he’s not busy strategizing his sure-fire media buying tactics, Eugene manages on-ground events to ensure they run without a hitch.

Over The Top Reality TV Show


Client: Malaysia Building Society Berhad


Leading financial provider Malaysia Building Society Berhad were seeking to boost up interest on their latest Cheeky Savings Club, a savings account tailor-made for kids aged 6 to 18 years old. Instead of mere roadshows and old-school marketing approach, Island Talk Asia went and turned Cheeky Savings Club into a source of financial inspiration, motivation and education for Malaysian kids with a one-of-a-kind reality TV show – Over The Top. Much more than a typical game reality show, singing or talent contest, Over The Top featured kids working hand-in-hand with their team members to take on today’s real world situations and along the way developed their money management skills in a fun, action-crammed adventure.

 
 

MyBajet 2012 (MyBudget 2012)


Client: Ministry of Finance Malaysia


For years, Malaysia’s annual budgets have come across as overwhelming due to information overload, leaving the general public confused and uninterested. Island Talk Asia came in and changed the perception by making the 2012 annual budget relevant and relatable in the public’s everyday lives. Island Talk Asia created poignant thematic infomercials focusing on the key areas of the 2012 annual budget which were aired on leading Malaysian TV channels and YouTube, as well as a dedicated website, Facebook page and Twitter where the public could easily express their thoughts and feedback on the budget.

 
 

Tennis Island Carnival


Client: Lawn Tennis Association Malaysia


How to get young Malaysians to be interested in playing tennis without shoving it down their throats? Island Talk Asia’s answer: “Tennis Island Carnival”. For just a day, kids between 6 to 15 years old were whisked off to a playland of tennis where they were caught up in the sheer fun of running around the tennis courts and whacking the ball. Aside from picking up tips and techniques from professional tennis coaches, the kids also challenged each other in virtual games of tennis and made creative portraits by using a tennis ball.
